Using Request Funds

The following article will discuss the Request Fund in Zūm.

This feature allows you to send a notification to your user to collect funds. While doing so, it also adds that user to your database so you can create transactions using the same user information down the road.

    To do this:

    1. Select the “Request Funds” option on the left sidebar of your portal.

    2. Click on “Add new” located in the top right corner

    3. Identify the type of transaction, “Request”

      1. To “Request” means you will be collecting money from your end-user into your Zūm Wallet or Funding Source.

      2. (Optional) “Recurrent transaction” - If desired can specify whether it will be a recurring transaction to happen at specific time intervals

    4. Indicate the dollar amount.

      1. (Optional) “Dynamic amount” - If you want the end-user to define the amount on their end.
    5. (Optional) “Allow more than 1 transaction for this request?” - By default, after sending a request to somebody that request will expire so they can't open it up and send me money multiple times, but there are certain cases where you might want to allow that.

    6. Enter the email address for your user.

      1. If you “allow for more than 1 transaction for this request”, the email field is no longer required

      2. *IMPORTANT* - If the email is specified, this email address has to match the email address your user will use for the transaction to go through.

    7. (Optional) “Send notification to the end-user e-mail” - This will email the address specified in the previous step as soon as the request is saved. They will then complete the transaction.

    8. Click “Save” to complete the Request.
    1. To “Request” means you will be collecting money from your end-user into your Zūm Wallet or Funding Source.

    2. (Optional) “Recurrent transaction” - If desired can specify whether it will be a recurring transaction to happen at specific time intervals

If no email was specified, you can choose to display a QR code in-store, embed the URL, or send them an email or SMS with the link embedded.

    To do this:

    1. Find the request funds from the list that you just created. In most cases, it's the top one because it goes from the most recent to the least recent top to bottom.

    2. Scroll to the right until you see three dots, click on them, then select "Details"

    3. Displayed are a few options. You have access to have the QR code, the link to embed, or the option to send an email or SMS.

    4. Your user will then be able to complete the transaction on their end.
