# Completing Your Persona Identity Check

> As a new customer of Zūm Rails, you will be required to complete an identity check through a tool called Persona. Depending on the structure of your business other owners may also be required to complete the same steps.

### Completing your identity check

**Steps**

1. Click on the **link** provided to you by our Zūm Rails team
2. Select your **language** and click **Begin verifying**
3. Select your **country** and enter your **phone number**
4. You will receive a confirmation code through SMS. If you do not, click on **resend confirmation code**
5. Enter the **confirmation code** and click **Continue**
6. Enter the country from where your **government** **IDs** are issued
7. Select which **government ID** you will upload
8. Take a **picture** of the **front** of your ID or upload one from your current device. You can also continue the process on another device if your pictures are not stored on the current one or your current device does not have a camera option.
9. **Verify** that the photo of your ID is clear and all lettering is **visible.** If the Underwriting team cannot properly review your ID, it will extend the overall onboarding process of your account. Click **Use this photo**.
10. Take a **picture** of the **back** of your ID or upload one from your current device. You can also continue the process on another device if your pictures are not stored on the current one or your current device does not have a camera option.
11. **Verify** that the photo of your ID is clear and all lettering is **visible.** If the Underwriting team cannot properly review your ID, it will extend the overall onboarding process of your account. Click **Use this photo**.

Your ID will be reviewed automatically once you click **Use this photo**. If it is not valid (expired, blurry, etc.), you will be prompted to restart the process. If the ID is valid, the next step will automatically appear.

12. You will be prompted to take multiple pictures for identification purposes. Persona leverages facial biometrics for the purpose of identity verification only. To start the process, click **Get Started**.
13. Remove your **glasses** before clicking on the camera icon

If the pictures are incorrectly taken, you will be prompted to restart the process.

14. Once you have successfully taken your pictures, a **confirmation** will appear showing you have completed your persona identification process.
