# Creating a Scheduled Transaction

> You can set up a scheduled transaction through your portal or the API. By completing these steps you will enable a one time transaction to occur on a selected date in the future.

#### Through the portal

1. Log in to your **portal**
2. Select **Transactions > Add new**

3. Fill in all the **fields**

4. Click **Delay transaction initiation**

5. Select your **scheduled start date**
6. Click **save**
